Your network and inbox stay on your computer

Network Cleaner stores everything it works with locally in your browser: your imported connections, the details it gathers about them, your tags, your removal history, and your conversations. None of it is uploaded to a server. We have no copy.

Uninstalling the extension, switching computers, or reinstalling your browser deletes that local data permanently, and we cannot restore it. Your LinkedIn account is not affected in any way.

What we collect

Network Cleaner has no signup and no password. To recognise you and to improve the app, the extension sends us the following:

• Your own LinkedIn profile basics: your LinkedIn account ID, name, headline, public profile ID, whether you have Premium, and the language your LinkedIn is set to. This is how we know who we are talking to when you write to us, without asking you to create an account.
• Usage data: which features you use, how many connections you imported and removed, the size of your inbox, the names of tags you create, and your settings.
• Error reports: when something fails, the error and what LinkedIn answered, so we can fix it.
• If you buy: your email address and a unique account identifier, collected by Stripe, so we can send your receipt and restore your access later.

This data is tied to you, not anonymous.

What we never collect

• Your connections, or anything about them
• Your messages and conversations
• Your browsing history
• Your LinkedIn password
• Your payment card details

No cookies, no session recordings, no surveys.

Where it goes

Usage data and error reports go to PostHog, hosted in the European Union. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card. Nobody else receives your data. We do not sell it, share it, or use it for anything other than running and improving Network Cleaner.

The founder occasionally reaches out on LinkedIn to hear how things are going. No pressure, and you can say no.

How long we keep it

Usage data and error reports are kept for one year, then deleted. Purchase records (your email and account identifier) are kept for as long as your purchase or subscription is valid, so we can restore your access.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, and ask us to delete it. Email team@networkcleaner.com and we will handle it. Everything on your computer is already yours to delete: uninstalling the extension removes it.

Chrome permissions

At install, Chrome asks for access to www.linkedin.com and www.networkcleaner.com, and to read your browsing history. The first is where the extension works; the second is Chrome's wording for noticing which LinkedIn page you are on. Nothing outside those two sites is accessed, and your browsing history is never collected. Each permission explained.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted here with a new date.
